The Lethbridge Conservative Association is committed to celebrating and supporting young people who are advancing the conservative movement in their spheres of influence, including their educational institutions.

For this reason, we are granting up to five Lethbridge Conservative Association Post-Secondary Scholarships to support those who are actively engaged in advancing the conservative cause.

Successful applicants will be awarded $1000 to support them in their post-secondary journey.

Applications are open from February 1, 2025 at 12:00 AM and close on March 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

Eligibility

The award is open to those who fit the following criteria:

-        Enrolled at a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada for September 2024.

-        Hold a primary residence in the federal riding of Lethbridge. 

-        An active member of the Conservative Party of Canada.

-        Have not previously received the Lethbridge Conservative Association Post-Secondary Scholarship.

Submission

If you meet the above eligibility requirements you must provide the following information no later than 11:59pm on March 1, 2025.

Please provide the following:

-    Proof of fall enrolment at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution of your choice (e.g. your latest transcript or an acceptance letter for those who are still in high school).

-    A personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining your efforts to advance conservatism.

-    An essay of no more than 500 words on the following topic: Are youth hesitant to join the conservative movement? Why or why not? How can the Conservative Party of Canada better engage young people to earn their support and activate their involvement?

-    Conservative Party of Canada membership number and expiry date.

The selection process will be completed anonymously by a selection panel following the closing date and successful applicants will be notified no later than April 30th, 2025.
